Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Shrestha Ventures collects through shresthaventures.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 2026

Scope. This policy covers the Shrestha Ventures corporate website only. Our portfolio companies — Koncierz, Unihamper, Foodyzz and Nearvise — each operate their own products, apps and privacy policies. If you are a customer of one of those services, the privacy policy published on that company's own site governs the data collected there.

1. Who we are

Shrestha Ventures ("Shrestha Ventures", "we", "us") is a venture firm and operating studio headquartered in New York, New York, United States. We invest in and build software for small and medium businesses. For anything relating to this policy, contact privacy@shresthaventures.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details — your name, email address, company and role when you email us, submit a form, or pitch a company.
  • Message content — anything you choose to include in your correspondence, including materials you send us about your business.
  • Recruiting information — a résumé, links and application details if you apply to work with us or with a portfolio company through us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Device data — browser type and version, operating system, screen size and language settings.
  • Server logs — IP address and request metadata retained for security and diagnostics.

Information we do not collect

We do not knowingly collect payment card details, government identifiers, health data, or other special-category personal information through this website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functioning and secure. If we use analytics, it is limited to aggregate, privacy-respecting measurement of traffic and page performance — not cross-site advertising profiles. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use third-party advertising trackers on this site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect how parts of the site behave. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where they apply.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to your enquiry, pitch, partnership request or press question.
  • To evaluate potential investments and business relationships.
  • To operate, secure, maintain and improve this website.
  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
  • To send you updates you have specifically asked to receive. You can unsubscribe at any time.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests — operating and securing our site, responding to business enquiries, and evaluating opportunities.
  • Consent — optional analytics and any marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Legal obligation — retaining records where the law requires it.
  • Contract — steps taken at your request before or during a business relationship.

6. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers — hosting, email, form handling, analytics and security vendors who process data on our instructions under contract.
  • Portfolio companies — where you have asked to be introduced, or where your enquiry clearly concerns one of their products.
  • Professional advisers — legal, accounting and diligence advisers bound by confidentiality.
  • Legal and safety — where required by law, subpoena or regulation, or to protect rights, safety and property.
  • Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Business correspondence and pitch materials are generally retained while the relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; server logs are retained for a short diagnostic and security window. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege permissions — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed there. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA and UK.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Request portability of information you provided to us.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise a right, email privacy@shresthaventures.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. EEA and UK residents may also complain to their local supervisory authority.

11. Third-party links

This site links to our portfolio companies' websites and to other third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above, and where the change is material we will provide a more prominent notice.
