Shrestha Ventures invests in and builds solutions that help small and medium businesses handle their daily operations — the restaurant on the corner, the laundromat down the block, the rider who keeps New York fed, the tradesperson two streets over.
Our thesis
Small and medium businesses got the leftovers of the software boom.
Enterprise software is built for enterprises. What reaches the corner restaurant, the family laundromat or the two-van plumbing shop is usually the same product with the margins taken out — expensive subscriptions, long contracts, commissions on every order, and tools that don't talk to each other.
We think the opposite way. We back and build operating software for businesses that measure success in a day's covers, a week's pickups, a month's jobs. Products that install in an afternoon, that a new hire can learn in a shift, and that make money for the operator rather than from them.
Every company in the portfolio shares that one constraint: if it doesn't make an owner's Tuesday easier, it doesn't ship.
